About Meliprints

I am Melissa, a printmaker living in Cambridge, working under the artist’s name Meliprints. I studied applied arts and visual design in France and discovered printmaking during a year spent in the U.S. Since moving to England, I have been focusing more specifically on creating original linocut prints, using traditional printmaking techniques.

I work in an illustrative style using vibrant colours and strong contrast to create scenes of daily life and nocturnal atmosphere. While people are often a key element in my compositions, I am getting inspiration from communities and places that are familiar to me.
